Falcon History

The XT Falcon |
| Next in line was the XT Falcon in 1968. On the outside in
it looked just like a mere facelift, but revamped Falcon range
consisted of two new sixes (3.1 Litres and 3.6 Litres), and
a bigger 5 Litre V8. There were mechanical upgrades to the gearbox,
brakes and larger tyres at no extra cost. The GT became a standard
part of the Falcon range and could be optioned with more colours
and received attractive driving lights. The first major upgrade
to the XT series Falcon came in 1969, with the launch of the
XW. |
